Harrow have recently completed work to provide an ultra modern extension to a large Victorian Town House in Jesmond, Newcastle Upon Tyne.

The extension provides a sun-room, WC and utility room, with additional external storage facilities, transforming what was previously a dark rear yard area into modern living space.

The sun-room opens fully through the use of  large glazed doors, which slide back into pockets formed within the external Western Red Cedar cladding, allowing a smooth transition from internal to external space through a flush floor finish.

The new extension runs seamlessly from the existing kitchen area, to provide additional flexible space.

Internal areas benefit from large glazed rooflights, which have been installed to maximise as much of the roof areas as possible, promoting a feeling of space.

Harrow carried out full design duties, and project managed the scheme to completion, with minimal disruption to the occupiers.
